Just installed the BakFlip G2 cover on my 2010 Nissan Frontier. The installation was fairly straightforward. It took me about 40 minutes, and only required a 15mm socket and ratchet to tighten the clamps. No other tools were needed. The installation instructions are basically a pamphlet with tiny pictures. They could be a lot better. The first step says "Attach the rails to your truck using the provided clamps." Having never installed one, I had to figure out which direction the rails go, where the clamps should be placed, etc. by trial and error. Probably installing another one of these would take me 15 minutes or less to do. For anyone interested, the end of the rail with the silver bracket needs to be near the cabin of the truck. If you have a Nissan Frontier with the Utili-track system, the clamps will fit between the track and the top of the bed if you sneak them in at the end of the rail and slide them down to the correct position. Once the rails are installed, you won't be able to slide your bed extender past the clamps, so it's pretty much stuck where it is. This isn't too bad, since you can still use the bed extender in the position where it fits on the tailgate, but you will need to remove it to use the cover. The cover comes with 2 hoses that should be used to take water from two drainage points to some sort of outlet on your truck. The Frontier has 2 rubber plugs that you would need to remove or modify to get the water to drain out. Right now I'm just letting the water into the truck bed.The cover seems pretty solid. The panels have a metal skin over a styrofoam core. Each panel can be unlatched by pulling a cable to release the latch, and then it can be folded up. The instructions recommend holding it in place using the attached D-ring clips and 2 bungee cords (not included). If you fold it all the way up, there are 2 struts that attach to it to hold it up against your truck cabin. They included some rubber strips with adhesive backing that I used as a bumper to keep the folded up cover from smacking into my rear window.Once installed, it fits well and looks nice. I didn't hear any whistling or anything on the highway, up to speeds of about 80 mph. There is a warning label that says to always close the tailgate before latching the last panel into place to prevent damage. Unfortunately, you can't see this label if you just open the tailgate and try to re-close it. I would warn anyone you let borrow your truck about that.I'll update this if anything changes, or if my gas mileage improves or anything exciting like that.
