Just got it so we ultimately have to wait to see about durability but I went through so much picking a bed I wanted to offer help to others..The storage is a nice size.. we have a full it is the length of the bed and pretty good depth, perfect for my kid's (10)underwear, socks, loungewear.My husband who does home improvement/assembly said the assembly was a breeze and spoke very highly of the bed overall even recommending it for our grown daughter.My lil wanted to keep her box spring and mattress so it is high off of the floor and still has a good amount of the headboard showing.I definitely recommend. My only issue is shipping being 1/3 of the price for the full.Color is more of a blue than a grey as shown but overall it’s perfect.My daughter picked this bed, great size, and easy to put together.The trundle: a standard twin mattress is too thick, the best (and thickest) we can utilize is a FOUR inch mattress despite the answered question above! Even so the bed is pretty nice. My husband said it is pretty easy to assemble even though some of the bolts were missing. But thank goodness I have good neighbors because they delivered the bed to my neighbor across the street ! Not cool !Absolutely love this bed! I was able to put it together by myself in under a hour. The instructions were clear, some of the metal pieces were no labeled. But the difference between pieced made it easy to tell which was which. The instructions themselves were clear and easy to follow.I have to say, this bed will last YEARS because of the metal frame. It doesn't make a single creek or squeak.The only negative is the mattress does like to slide a bit, but, tt was an easy fix! By simply dropping the headboard to the shortest setting (it's adjustable) it no longer slides.Love how sturdy this bed is. Was kinda hard to put together by myself.
